Step 1: Install the Smash Balloon Reviews Feed Pro Plugin
First, download Reviews Feed Pro here before installing and activating the plugin on your WordPress website.

Step 2: Set Up Your Feed
Head into your WordPress dashboard and go to Reviews Feed » All Feeds.
Click Add New to get started.
Next, you’ll need to add a source for your feed.
This only takes a minute, and once it’s set up, you can reuse the same source for any future feeds.
Since it’s your first time creating a feed, click on Add Source.

Step 4: Customize Your WordPress.org Reviews Feed

Want more control over what appears in your feed? Head to the Settings tab, then click Filters.
From there, pick the star ratings you want visible. The feed will automatically update to show only reviews matching those ratings.
Click Save once you’re happy with it. You can also filter by keyword or block specific words if there are terms you’d rather not show.
Like before, click on Save to keep your changes. For more control, Reviews Feed Pro also lets you moderate your reviews feed to pick which reviews to show or hide.
Step 5: Show WordPress.org Reviews on Your Website
To start embedding reviews, the first thing you need to do is click on the Embed button in the top-right corner.
Once your feed is ready, you’ve got a few options for putting it on your site:
- On a page: Drop the feed directly into any existing page or post
- In a widget: Place it in your sidebar or footer so it shows up sitewide
- Anywhere with a shortcode: Copy the shortcode and paste it wherever you need it
For now, let’s go with the Add to a Page option and insert the reviews on a webpage.
