Smash Balloon is a fun-loving WordPress plugin development company birthed into existence in early 2014. We specialize in creating plugins that are not only intuitive and simple to use, but also designed to integrate seamlessly into your website and allow you to display your social media content in powerful and unique ways. Over 650,000 awesome people have decided to actively use our plugins, which is an incredible honor that we don’t take lightly. This compels us to try to provide the quickest and most effective customer support that we can, blowing users away with the best customer service they’ve ever experienced.
We’re a small, but dedicated, team based in Minnesota in the USA (and we’re currently hiring!).
John is the founder and lead developer at Smash Balloon. He's been working with WordPress since 2009, initially developing custom solutions for clients before venturing into plugin development and starting Smash Balloon in early 2014. With a background in user-centric design and front-end development, he takes pride in making sure our products are both intuitive to use and aesthetically beautiful. Originally from England, John now lives in Minnesota with his wife and two young children.
David is one of our support specialists. Starting his web development journey building WordPress sites for clients, he's now on a mission to provide incredible user-focused support to our customers, to ensure that every person he comes into contact with is left feeling taken care of and smiling. With his background of serving others in law enforcement, he always goes the extra mile to help people and make their day, taking pride in turning regular users into raving fans.
Craig is one of our plugin developers and resident support ninja. Starting in a technical support role, he now also leads development on both our Twitter and Instagram plugins. A stay-at-home dad turned self-taught developer, he loves a good code challenge as well as creating customizations with code snippets for customers. Having lived all over the United States, he now calls Minnesota his home along with his wife and son.
