Want to schedule your Facebook videos, so people find it at the perfect time?
After a lot of testing and research, I’ve put together this guide with the easiest way of scheduling Facebook content.
Plus, you can do this directly from your WordPress site – which ends up saving a lot of time.
Choosing Your Facebook Scheduling Tool
While there are many tools that can schedule social media content, I’m going with ClickSocial for this guide.
This tool makes it really easy to draft and schedule Facebook posts directly from your website. Plus, there are a bunch of other highlights:
- One-click scheduling so you can save a ton of time when scheduling lots of videos
- Post revival feature to automatically share old WordPress posts to Facebook for more engagement
- Support for the biggest social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter/X)
- Handy post calendar that lets you track your scheduled posts, drafts, and published content
On top of Facebook videos, you can use this guide to share regular text posts as well as photos.

How to Schedule a Video for Facebook (Easy Way)
Now, I’ll go ahead and guide you through the process of scheduling Facebook videos. It’s only 5 steps so you’ll be done in no time.
Step 1: Create a ClickSocial Account
The first step is to open the ClickSocial website on your browser.
Then you can click on Sign Up to create your ClickSocial account.
You can open your website and navigate to the Plugins » Add New Plugin menu from your dashboard.
Using the search bar at the top, look for the “ClickSocial” plugin.
Now, you can click on the Install Now button in the search results below.
Wait a few seconds for the installation to finish, then click on Activate.
Step 2: Connect Your Website to ClickSocial
You can now connect your WordPress site to ClickSocial using an API key. This lets you draft and schedule Facebook videos directly from your site.
So, open your ClickSocial dashboard and click on Generate API Key.
Whenever you connect a website to ClickSocial, it will be added to the list here.
For now, it should be empty, like in the screenshot below.
Anyway, go ahead and click on Add New to proceed.
Now, enter the name of your website into the popup.
You can also use any other label as long as you can use it to clearly recognize your site.
Finally, click on the Generate API Key button.
Remember to keep this API key safe, since it’s pretty important. This key basically lets ClickSocial identify which website is yours.
To continue, click on the Copy button.
Now, return to your WordPress website and click on the ClickSocial menu on your dashboard.
Then you can click on the Setup My Account button to proceed.
After you do that, paste the key from earlier into the popup.
Finally, click on Connect to finish connecting your website to ClickSocial.
Step 3: Connect Your Facebook Account
Connecting your Facebook account is pretty easy, too.
First, click on the Add Account button.
With ClickSocial, there are 3 supported social media platforms to pick from:
- Twitter/X
The process is basically the same for each platform, but I’ll select Facebook for now.
Using the popup, pick the Facebook profile that you want to use.
After you do that, you can click on Continue.
The popup will now show you a list of businesses that you’ve connected to Facebook.
Select the one you want to use and then click on Continue.
You’ll see a list of Facebook pages that you can choose to schedule videos for.
Just like before, select a page here and click on Continue.
Finally, you can allow ClickSocial to schedule Facebook posts and videos for you.
Just click on Got it to finish up here.
Now, your Facebook account has been connected to your website.
Before you go ahead, you can pick between your Facebook account’s timezone and your website’s timezone.
Pick whichever option you prefer and click on Finish Setup.
Step 4: Setup Your Facebook Post Calendar
You can now see your post calendar, where you can keep track of your drafts, scheduled posts, and published content.
Once you start scheduling videos regularly, this place can be super useful.
Personally, I like to set up a posting schedule for Facebook before I go ahead and draft my posts.
To do that, click on the Edit Schedule button.
After doing that, a popup will show you the default posting schedule for Facebook.
Using the checkboxes on the left, select the days of the week when you want to publish new posts.
Then, use the dropdown menu on each time slot to change the posting time for that day.
You can also add slots by clicking on the plus (+) icon and delete time slots using the red trash icon.
Using the options, go ahead and select your Facebook posting schedule.
You can also schedule each Facebook video for a custom time, so no need to overthink if you haven’t decided on your time yet.
Finally, click on the Save Changes button.
Step 5: Schedule Your Facebook Video
Once you’re ready to schedule your Facebook video, click on the Add New button at the top.
Or, you can directly select your time on the calendar and click on the plus (+) icon to its right.
Doing that will open the post composer. Here, you can write the text for your post, just like you would on Facebook.
You can also add links or hashtags here if you like.
After writing the post, you can use the icons below your text to add media to this post. There are 3 options here:
- Photo
- WordPress Post
- Video
Just click on the Video icon, then you can upload your video or select your video from the media library.
With that, my post has a text as well as an attached video.
Before we move on, you can click on the Preview tab at the top to check how it will look on Facebook.
After you’re done drafting the Facebook video post, select the Publish option below your post.
Doing that will open a popup where you can pick your scheduling time.
You can select a day from the calendar on the left, and pick the time slot on the right.
Or you can click on Schedule for custom time and manually select a scheduling time yourself.
Done picking your scheduling time?
Now you can click on the Add time to schedule button on the popup.
After doing that, your Facebook video is ready to be scheduled.
Just hit the Schedule Post button to make it official.
And that’s it. You can use the post calendar from earlier to track this scheduled post.
Once your picked time arrives, ClickSocial will automatically share this video on your Facebook page.
As you can see, it’s a quick and easy method with no coding or complicated setup. You can start scheduling more types of Facebook content this way, and supercharge your engagement.
And remember to keep focusing on the quality of posts too because it makes a huge difference.
