TikTok Feeds Error Message Reference

If you receive an error message when trying to display your TikTok posts or during plugin use, then you can use the table below to diagnose the issue and find the relevant solution.

Error 403: Images are not showing in the feed

If you are seeing 403 errors in your developer console and the thumnails for your TikTok videos are not showing, you may be experiencing an issue with the GDPR setting in our plugin, or a conflict with an image optimization plugin or feature.

To troubleshoot this, please go to TikTok Feeds > Settings > Feeds tab > GDPR and set this setting to No. This will force the plugin to use the CDN/Remote images instead of the locally saved ones. If this allows you to display images, please check any issues on your server related to the Imagick (Image Magick) PHP library or any plugin that performs image optimization.

Please note that setting GDPR to No means that images will be served from an external server (TikTok). This should only be done where GDPR functionality is not required, or users have opted in to third-party connections.

Error 404: Failed to load resource (Can not access All Feeds or settings)

If you are unable to access any part of the plugin settings or pages in your WordPress Dashboard, please ensure that your WordPress Database user has all permissions set correctly. Then try removing and fully reinstalling the plugin. If issues remain, please contact our support team.

"This error message is only visible to WordPress admins: No posts found"

Please ensure you have connected the correct source in the plugin settings (TikTok Feeds > Settings > Sources), and that you have the source selected in your feed (TikTok Feeds > All feeds > Individual Feed settings > Advanced tab > Sources).

If the error remains, please navigate to TikTok Feeds > Settings > Feeds tab > click Clear All Caches. Then clear any website cache and check again.

If you are sure the correct source is connected to the feed, and the connected source has available videos, please reach out to our support team so we can provide further assistance.

Connection Error: Cannot add source

If you are experiencing issues adding a TikTok source, such as not being redirected to the plugin settings after being sent to our connection site, please try the following:

  • Temporarily disable other plugins, especially those related to redirecting URLs and try again.
  • Test the connection in another browser, or an “Incognito”/”Private” browser tab.
  • Test connecting another TikTok account if available.

Connection Error: when activating license

Please refer to our license activation documentation

Missing feature/Pro popup: I am not able to use feature…

If you are seeing a popup window informing you to purchase the Pro version or a higher version of the plugin, please double-check that the license you purchased includes the intended feature. You can check this by comparing the pricing page with your license version (Basic, Plus or Elite).

If you have the correct version for the feature you are unable to use, please try going to TikTok Feeds > Settings > License. Deactivate the license, save the page and reload. Then add your license, and try activating it again. When active, test using the feature.

If the feature is still not available to you, please reach out to our support team for assistance.

If you are unable to find your issue in the list, please reach out to our support team and we will be happy to provide additional guidance.
