Instagram Feed Option Features – PRO vs. Free

The following table depicts the different plugin setting option differences when comparing between the PRO vs Free version of the Instagram Feeds plugins.

User – PRO & Free

user feeds Your Instagram User Name. This must be from a connected account on the “Configure” tab.

Multiple Acounts
It is only possible to display feeds from Instagram accounts which you own or have administrative access to.   In order to display feeds from multiple accounts, first connect them above and then add the account either to your primary feed or to a different feed on your site.

Displaying Posts from Other Instagram Accounts
Due to Instagram restrictions it is not possible to display photos from other user Instagram accounts which you do not have access to. You can connect as many accounts as you like if you have administrative access to the account.

PRO & Free
hashtag feeds Any hashtag. Display all public posts from a hashtag instead of from a user. Separate multiple hashtags using commas. Requires an Instagram Business profile.  To show posts from a user feed that also have a certain hashtag, use the “includewords” setting. PRO Only
tagged feeds Your Instagram User Name. Separate multiple users with commas. Requires an Instagram Business profile.  Display photos that an account has been tagged in.  The username for a tagged feed must be a user name from one of the connected accounts. PRO Only
mixed feeds To display multiple feed types in a single feed, use type=”mixed”.   This will combine a user feed and a hashtag feed or tagged feed into the same single feed display.  Requires an Instagram Business profile when adding hashtag or tagged feeds. PRO Only
order The order to display the Hashtag feed posts PRO Only
Customize Options
width The width of your feed. Any number. PRO & Free
widthunit The unit of the width. ‘px’ or ‘%’ PRO & Free
height The height of your feed. Any number. PRO & Free
heightunit The unit of the height. ‘px’ or ‘%’ PRO & Free
background The background color of the feed. Any hex color code. PRO & Free
class Add a CSS class to the feed container. PRO & Free
Layout Options
layout How posts are arranged visually in the feed. There are four layouts: Grid, Carousel Slider, Masonry Grid, or Highlight Grid. Options: ‘grid’, ‘carousel’, ‘masonry’, or ‘highlight’ PRO Only
num The number of photos to display initially. Maximum is 33. PRO & Free
nummobile The number of photos to display initially for mobile screens (smaller than 480 pixels). PRO Only
cols The number of columns in your feed. 1 – 10. PRO & Free
colsmobile The number of columns in your feed for mobile screens (smaller than 480 pixels). PRO Only
imagepadding The spacing around your photos PRO & Free
imagepaddingunit The unit of the padding. ‘px’ or ‘%’ PRO & Free
Carousel Options
carouselrows Choose 1 or 2 rows of posts in the carousel PRO Only

Photos Options
sortby Sort the posts by Newest to Oldest (none) or Random (random) PRO & Free
imageres The resolution/size of the photos including full, medium, thumbnail, and auto (based on size of image on page). Options: ‘auto’, full’, ‘medium’ or ‘thumb’. PRO & Free
media Display all media, only photos, or only videos PRO Only
disablelightbox Whether to disable the photo Lightbox. It is enabled by default. PRO Only
disablemobile Disable the mobile layout. Options: ‘true’ or ‘false’. PRO & Free
captionlinks Whether to use urls in captions for the photo’s link instead of linking to instagram.com. PRO Only

lightboxcomments Whether to show comments in the lightbox for this feed. PRO Only
numcomments Number of comments to show starting from the most recent. PRO Only
Photos Hover Style Options
hovercolor The background color when hovering over a photo. Any hex color code. PRO Only
hovertextcolor The text/icon color when hovering over a photo. Any hex color code. PRO Only
hoverdisplay The info to display when hovering over the photo such as the user name, post date, Instagram icon, location, caption, and like counts. Options:
username, date, instagram, location, caption, likes

Header Options
showheader Whether to show the feed Header. Options: ‘true’ or ‘false’. PRO & Free
headerstyle Which header style to use. Choose from standard, boxed, or centered.
headersize Size of the header including small, medium and large. Options: small, medium, or large. PRO & Free
headerprimarycolor The primary color to use for the boxed header. Any hex color code. PRO Only
headersecondarycolor The secondary color to use for the boxed header. Any hex color code. PRO Only
showfollowers Display the number of followers in the header. PRO Only

Caption Options
showcaption Whether to show the photo caption. Options: ‘true’ or ‘false’. PRO Only
captionlength The number of characters of the caption to display PRO Only

captionsize The size of the caption text. Any number. PRO Only
Likes & Comments Options
showlikes Whether to show the Likes & Comments. Options: ‘true’ or ‘false’. PRO Only

‘Load More’ Button Options

Auto Load More on Scroll
autoscroll Load more posts automatically as the user scrolls down the page. PRO Only
autoscrolldistance Distance before the end of feed or page that triggers the loading of more posts. PRO Only
Post Filtering Options
excludewords Remove posts which contain certain words or hashtags in the caption. PRO Only
includewords Only display posts which contain certain words or hashtags in the caption. PRO Only
whitelist Only display posts that match one of the post ids in this “whitelist” PRO Only
Misc Options
permanent Enable backup/permanent caching. Feed will never look for new posts from Instagram. PRO & Free
maxrequests Change the number of maximum concurrent API requests.
This is not recommended unless directed by a member of the support team.
PRO Only
customtemplate Whether or not the plugin should look in your theme for a custom template.
Do not enable unless there are templates added to your theme’s folder.
