We’re committed to making sure your experience with Smash Balloon plugins is as secure and smooth as possible. To help us achieve this and protect your website data, we’ve made a small but important update to the minimum PHP version required for our plugins.
What’s Changing?
To ensure the best security and performance, the following Smash Balloon plugins will now require PHP version 7.4 or higher:
- Social Photo Feeds (Instagram Feed): Starting with version 6.9
- Instagram Feed Pro (Pro Plugin): Starting with version 6.8
Why are we making this change?
Using the latest PHP version is a key step in keeping your website secure. Older versions of PHP can have security vulnerabilities, which could put your website and your information at risk. By requiring PHP 7.4 or higher, we can make sure our plugins are running in the most secure environment, protecting your data and giving you peace of mind.
What do you need to do?
If your website is running on a PHP version older than 7.4, you’ll need to update it. Don’t worry, this is usually a straightforward process!
