The Custom Facebook Feed creates a non-expiring access token for you during setup. When a manual token is needed, and how to get one.
You do not need to manually create an event token to use the Custom Facebook Feed. For standard setup of the plugin, see the Setup Guide. Please note that a non-expiring Facebook Access Token is automatically created and added to the site when using the Custom Facebook Feed plugin and connecting a source.
It is no longer possible to create an Access Token by hand, or to have someone generate one and send it to a web developer, due to Meta changing their Data Protection Policy. If you are setting a feed up for someone else, these directions cover the ways the connection can be made.
