Important notice for Twitter Feed users: No tweets returned or feed not updating: Due to another sudden Twitter change, our Tweet retrieving solution can be unstable at times. We have been working hard to continue to provide updated feeds for our users even with Twitter discontinuing our access to their API. With this change, we can no longer allow some features that existed before as each time the plugin updates the feed there is a cost.
Frequency of Updates
There is a limit of 12 – 24 updates per day spread out among the feeds. For example, if you have 24 feeds with one source, each feed will update every-other day for some plans and once per day for others. If you have just one feed and one source, this feed can be updated 12 to 24 times a day. Limits are per site your license is activated on.
Supported Feed Types
Our solution supports user timelines, hashtag and search feeds. We currently do not support home timelines, lists and mentions timeline feed types. Unfortunately these are no longer available with the changes though we may be able to add support back in future updates.
Loading More Tweets
There will be a varying number of total tweets available when first creating a feed (up to 10 or more). Tweets are cached and the number of available tweets when loading more will grow over time.
Removing Limitations
As was announced at the beginning of April 2023, Twitter does now have an API that offers a limited number of API requests for a $100 monthly fee. We have added the ability to enter app credentials and use the new Twitter (X) API. This will allow for more frequent updates.
