If you are unable to connect an account using the big blue button on the “Configure” tab or connect an account manually, you may be using an older version of the plugin or your host may be blocking the API request our plugin makes to connect the account.
1) Seeing error “Invalid scope field(s)”
If you are trying to connect an account but are seeing this error:
{"error_type": "OAuthException", "code": 400, "error_message": "Invalid scope field(s): public_content"}
You will need to update the plugin to the latest version and try again or you can use the “Button not working?” link to manually connect an access token.
2) I am seeing another error in the pop-up window or nothing happens
Your host may be blocking your site from contacting the Instagram API. You can try contacting them with the message:
Is my site able to make remote requests to the Instagram/Facebook API? For example, these urls:

https://instagram.com/oauth/authorize/
