If you’ve used the “Log in and get my Access Token” button in the plugin to authorize the Smash Balloon Facebook app but some of the Facebook pages which you are an admin of are not listed then this is usually related to a limitation of Facebook’s app login flow. When our app is first authorized by your Facebook account then it authorizes the app for the pages you are an admin of at that time. The only two way to authorize additional pages through our app are either:
1) Deauthorize our app in your Facebook account settings (Facebook > Settings > Business integrations) and then authorize it again by logging in through our plugin. It’s important to note that this will then invalidate any Access Tokens obtained for previous sites you set the plugin up on. For this reason, it’s not recommended to do this if you have authorized the plugin on more than one or two other websites as you’ll have to go back and reauthorize them again.
2) Log in as a different Facebook user who is an admin of the Facebook pages and authorize the app using their account instead.
You can select ANY page
An important point to note though is that in order to use the plugin you do not need to authorize the specific page you want to display posts from. You can use the token from any of your Facebook pages to power the feed for any other Facebook page. So selecting “Page A” from the list of Facebook pages will still allow you to display posts from “Page B”. The only exception for this is if you’re displaying reviews using our Reviews extension – as that token needs to be for the specific page.
Use the Access Token tool
An alternative solution, if you want to use the token for a specific page but it isn’t showing up in the plugin, is to have another admin of that Facebook page use the tool on this page. They can then authorize our app and send you their page’s Access Token to add into the plugin settings.
