Due to privacy restrictions, it isn’t possible to get the author information of a post in a Facebook group unless that group member chooses to allow our app which was added to the group (named “Smash Balloon Plugin”) to see that information. There are directions at the following link on how a member would allow this: https://www.facebook.com/help/www/1967138829984927
The Facebook documentation on this matter states: “By default, personally identifiable information will not be included in the response. In order to have the post author’s publicly available information included in the response, the post author must grant your app permission.”
