Facebook recently increased their restrictions on certain types of user content posted to groups. Photos that someone posts directly to your group can be displayed but there are increased restrictions now on shared links, videos and shared photos. This isn’t any kind of limitation or restriction of the plugin, it’s a restriction that Facebook themselves have recently applied to their content I’m afraid.
The only way around this and to display attachments is to obtain a “User” Access Token from Facebook and use it in the plugin – in the ‘Access Token’ field on the plugin’s Settings page. We’ve put together directions here on how to obtain one of these Access Tokens. Unfortunately, there are a few hoops you have to jump through in order to get one but we’ve done our best to put together clear step-by-step directions.
Please note that an “App” Access Token is different than a “User” Access Token. An example of the format of each token is included below to help you tell them apart:
