Error: “There is no connected account for the user”

Version 6.0 and above

This error should not occur for version 6.0, if you see this error please update your plugin to the latest version and follow the configuration guide here, or see below for further instructions in legacy versions of the plugin.

Below version 6.0

This indicates the older “id” shortcode option is being used like so:

[instagram-feed id="123456789"]

The “id” shortcode option is no longer valid and has been replaced with the “user” shortcode option. To use the “user” shortcode option, you will need to pass in the account username instead of the ID like so:

[instagram-feed user="landscapeswelove"]

The “user” shortcode option is only needed when you have multiple accounts connected to the plugin and need to specify which account to display posts from. If you only have a single account connected, you can remove the “id” option from the shortcode and then use the Add to Primary Feed button next to your account under Instagram Feed > Configure > Instagram Accounts as shown below:
